BAJRA makes copies of the television materials available with the following terms and conditions.

Please note that the television materials are only available to educational institutions and their staff members.  Educational institutions include universities, museums, educational libraries, schools and gamelan groups.  Staff members are long-term staff members of these institutions.  We reserve the right to ask for proof of identity.

Terms and Conditions

These sets are made available on the understanding that the materials are kept under secure conditions, such that copying or removal from the library or equivalent secure place is not possible.

Details of the contents of the sets and the résumés may be placed on a web site, but neither the video materials nor transcriptions may be placed on a website.  Otherwise the materials may be made freely accessible to researchers, staff members and students.  Any use or citation should be acknowledged.

Where the institution holds a multi-user licence, it may make a back up copy of the materials subject to at least one month’s advance notice to BAJRA.

A copy of the contract is available on request from inquiries@bajra.org.

Copyright

Each video disk carries the following Copyright Warning

All recordings of broadcasts made available through BAJRA (the Balinese and Javanese Research Archive) remain the copyright of Indonesian state television (Televisi Republik Indonesia, or TVRI) and, where applicable, of the original producers of the materials.

BAJRA makes copies of these recordings available on the strict understanding that these recordings are for academic and educational research, and for teaching purposes, only.

Any unauthorized copying, editing, exchanging, lending, selling, distribution, public performance before a fee-paying audience or rebroadcasting of these recordings is strictly prohibited.  Violators will be subject to criminal prosecution, civil penalties or both.

Each transcription disk carries the following Copyright Warning

BAJRA holds worldwide copyright over the transcriptions.  Purchasers may use or cite extracts as part of teaching, research and publication, provided that appropriate acknowledgement of the source is made.  Such citation should not comprise more than ten percent of the total transcription.  Where more extensive citation is required, permission should be sought from BAJRA first.  Provided the use is bona fide research or educational use, BAJRA will not normally withhold permission for citation and use.

Any unauthorized publication, copying, editing, exchanging, lending, selling, distribution or re-use of these transcriptions is strictly prohibited.  Violators will be subject to criminal prosecution, civil penalties or both.
